Ordering

Orders are processed daily in the order they are received from the shopping cart. Add a note to your order if you have a question or request, and we’ll address it as best we can. (Google Checkout customers will need to email; Google does not pass along shopping cart messages.) Local customers who want to pick up their orders, and customers with credit card information on file will find these options available in the checkout process.

You may also email your order (items, quantity and size), your name, address, phone number and a good time to call (include time zone please). We’ll call to get credit card info and answer any questions. Do not send credit card information in email.

If you are a regular customer, check the box that will collect your shipping and contact information so you will not have to re-enter it every time you order. Regular customers may also request that we keep credit card information on file. Then ordering is as simple as an email or filling your cart and checking a couple boxes. We will not give your information to anyone. See our Privacy Policy.

Shipping

Timing: Herbaliz™ products are handmade and as fresh as possible. Some of the products will be made only upon your order. We try to make and ship within a week of the placed order, which means that you may have to allow for up to 3 weeks for delivery. (That hardly ever happens.) We will do our best to keep you informed about expected timing. Our experience so far indicates that most orders arrive within a week.

Charges: The minimum shipping charge is $7.00. The site calculates the charges based on the weight of the items using actual rates provided by the shipper. Boxes may go by USPS Express or Priority mail or by UPS Ground (carbon neutral).

The shipping calculator tends to overcharge for large orders. With that in mind we offer a $15.30 flat rate shipping option called "Those rates are too high." We would then pick the cheapest shipping method, and charge no more than $15.30 for shipping. If you must have it delivered by a particular carrier and still want the $15.30 rate, email immediately and we will do what we can to accommodate you.

If any order with USPS shipping fits in a flat rate box and the flat rate box results in lower shipping cost, we will use it and reduce the charge accordingly. Since our shipping calculator has no way of knowing if an order can fit in a flat rate box, we can't incorporate it into the cart. We reserve the right to determine if an order will fit. Paypal or Google Checkout orders will be refunded the difference. If you pay by credit card and we can tell right away that it will fit, we will simply charge the lower total. If we can't tell whether it will fit until the order is ready for shipment, we will provide a credit toward your next order. (If you decide not to order again, just tell us and we'll do a credit card refund.)

International: For international orders shipping fees are calculated based on weight and distance, plus $2.00 to cover the extra paperwork and trip to the post office. The $7.00 minimum still applies. USPS First Class (up to 4 pounds only) and Priority mail options are available. We will use Flat Rate Boxes if they result in reduced cost, and refund the difference. Please note that First Class Mail does not have a tracking feature.

Lost or Missing Packages: This is a rare occurrence, but does happen occasionally. Action on lost or missing packages will be decided on a case by case basis. Click here for helpful information on recovering lost packages.

Materials: We recycle shipping materials. If you get a box from us with another company’s name on it, it is because they have shipped something to us in it. We also recycle all the packing materials we receive from others, so you may find peanuts one time and bubble wrap the next. Another small way to reduce the landfill and keep shipping costs down.

Legal: Any undiluted essential oils are required by law to be sent by surface mail.

Pay by credit card, PayPal, Google Checkout, check, cash or money order. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover. Make checks payable to Herbaliz LLC.

We reserve the right to request payment in advance for first time purchases and orders of more than $100.00 that are to be made by check, cash or money order.

Pennsylvania residents must pay sales tax of 6%.

Prices are subject to change. Our products are made from plants and their availability and therefore their cost fluctuates. We will do everything in our power to keep the listed prices up to date, but can’t be held responsible for crop failures. (at least we don’t think so...) horsetail

Return Policy

We do not accept returns of products that have been opened/tried/used, unless there is something wrong with the product itself. We offer small sizes and work hard to keep prices reasonable to minimize the investment in untried products, and a sample can be provided with an order over $30.

If there is something wrong with the product, give us a call and we will replace it or make a full refund. We may ask you to return the product (at our expense) so that we can determine what went wrong and how to correct the problem.

Unopened, unused products may be returned within 14 days of receipt if purchased in error. Shipping costs for returns must be paid for by the purchaser. Routinely, store credit will be provided. If you prefer a refund, call and we will collect the information necessary to do so.
